Can eyeHear caption phone calls?
eyeHear does not currently support captioning phone calls. Any captioning eyeHear is currently doing during phone calls is based on the audio coming from the phones speaker that is then being captured by the phone’s microphone and captioned. Apple also does not offer a method in its software development kit that allows rerouting calls to a third party application.
Is eyeHear HIPAA compliant?
No. eyeHear is not HIPAA compliant because the captioning technology, Apple's SFSpeechRecognition framework, is not HIPAA compliant. eyeHear should not be used in situations that may expose sensitive information.
